Southover Self Catering Apartments are ideally situated for dog owners who like to explore North Devon's coastline. Many beaches allow dogs onto them with certain restrictions. We are a pet friendly establishment and will accept well behaved dogs and small caged animals in certain suitable units with prior agreement.
Holiday apartment lounge and dining areas in each of our holiday apartments is large and spacious. All self catering holiday apartments enjoy sea views, some with balcony. There is ample dining space, highchairs are available on request, comfortable sofas and all apartments have a modern TV Freesate and DVD. All bedrooms come supplied with linen and duvets, most have an en-suite bathroom and some have wash hand basins. A cot is available on request at no extra cost. Several bedrooms have a balcony with sea views. Bathrooms are fully fitted with both bath and shower facilities
Woolacombe Bay. Surfers are out all year riding the breakers of the Atlantic Ocean. Watched over by lifeguards in the summer season, bathing and swimming is safe between the flags. Avoid swimming at low tide and near the few rocks toward the north of Woolacombe beach. The surf at Woolacombe helps make Woolacombe Bay such a fantastic Devon holiday attraction. It is known world-wide, suitable for both the experienced surfer and the beginner. Surfing lessons are available within Woolacombe village at Nick Thorn's Surf School.
Three miles of sand are perfect for sandcastles and walks. All that you can need in refreshment is available at the Beachcomber café at the north end of Woolacombe Bay.
Barricane Beach. The famous shell beach tucked in between the rocks, between Woolacombe and Mortehoe. Famous for cowries and other exotic sea shells brought in on the Gulf Stream. Safe for bathing and swimming, with rock pools to explore and more traditional sand at low tide.
